Not too long ago I had Zippey hauled out for a complete sanding down and repainting. She desperately needed it as the previous owner had not taken care of her at all. The fellow doing the painting appears not to have used proper marine paint as the bottom is currently trashed and already in need
Scheduled with a group of friends to go out sailing tonight. Turns out most were unable to make it, but an old college friend and I pulled Zippey out of her slip and headed out. There was not much wind when we got out of the marina so we motored towards Seattle for a bit.

It has been a few weeks since I have had time to get Zippey out sailing. I miss her. Snapped a shot of her basking in the sun today while.
Zippey’s first almost race
My dear brother Brandon is moving three days to Orange County :(. This evening I had the pleasure of taking him and his daughter on a farewell cruise. Thursdays throughout the summer my marina hosts a fun casual sailboat race and we had the good fortune of being on the water to watch the race!
