New Job

October 11, 2008

Well…it happened. I was hoping to avoid having a job when I went back to college so that I could just be a fulltime student but with the rising prices of everything and not having an income it sorta sucked. A buddy of mine works for a web development place and they needed another person. They wanted someone fulltime, but had trouble finding a good fit for their company. Finally my buddy suggested me, even though I can not work full time. I was asked to send in a resume and a couple days later I heard from my buddy that he is supposed to get me started. No interview at all! Amazing. It really does pay to have connections, no pun intended.

So right now I basically have my dream job. I get to work anywhere in the world I feel like it, and I can work essentially anytime that I want to with a few exceptions. I have all the knowledge and skill needed to work at this company, so I am confident that I will be able to do the work just fine.

I am sure you are wondering where exactly I am working? It is a place called Montana Banana. They are based out of Seattle, Washington.

Ya know…I dreamed of a job like this one so I could buy a sailboat, get a sattelite internet connection, and cruise around the ocean…hmm…that dream looks like it could be a reality now.

I wonder how much you can pick your nose with this new job. Just remember to save some for future computer repair. I talked to “Mike’s” the other day and he misses us all wasting time together. I like blue cars.
