I am fascinated with boats; I own a beautiful 23′ 1977 North American Spirit 23 and a 1976 26′ Reinell Cabin Cruiser, with plans to acquire even more. However, far before I knew I had a desire to be a boat owner I wanted boat shaped bookshelves. Somewhere between the ages of 11 and 13 I saw one at a friends house and was instantly attracted to it. Over the years I forgot all about the boat shelves, but recently I noticed piles of books around my apartment and the boat book shelf popped back into my head. I finally own one! Well it came as a set of two actually ;). Now when I have visitors they think I am legitimately nutty about boats. I do not blame them. I Soon there will be a three piece sailboat canvas painting hanging above my couch, but that is a story for another time…
