A few days ago I ran across an interview with Hal Elrod, author of The Miracle Morning. Hal advocates that we can create better energy and more success in our lives by using the six S.A.V.E.R.S. for one hour every morning, when we first wake up.
The S.A.V.E.R.S. are
- S – Silence
- A – Affirmations
- V – Visualization
- E – Exercise
- R – Reading
- S – Scribe
Each lasts roughly 10 minutes, for a total of one hour.
Hal says that getting the morning off to a proper start will make the entire day better. I have noticed in my own life that when I get up early to do things for me that the day overall just seems better.
So I have decided to commit myself to a 60 day Miracle Morning Challenge. Today was my first day, March 18th is the end goal to evaluate the results.
For me this means getting up at 4:30am (yuck!), but I did it today and I do have to say that my entire day has been significantly better than typical. I was happier to go to work and I had a high level of energy throughout the work day. Even now after work I am running strong, when typically I would have crashed already. And I did that on a HALF cup of coffee for the entire time.
I am excited to do this challenge and look forward to renewed energy and well being that will carry me far beyond the initial 60 days.
I will randomly post blurbs about this challenge here, and a wrap up post with the results around March 18th. Stay tuned!
