I am sitting at a restaurant in the Seattle Seatac airport with my team. We are headed to Uganda for 17 days to work in the capital city of Kampala. We partnered with a local church to use as a base for the medical clinic we will be running.
This past couple weeks has been a crazy and intense time for me; new job, moving out of my apartment, finalizing a new boat purchase, packing, packing, packing, seeing family pre-trip, spending time with my wonderful woman, packing, a wedding, etc. Every single minute has been tagged with some activity. Until just a couple hours ago I still did not have everything I needed for the Uganda trip. Now that I am in the airport a huge weight has been lifted off of me as if by magic.
I am looking forward to touching down in Entebbe and that rocky, bumpy, hot, uncomfortable bus ride to the mission house we are staying at. Rekindling relationships started in March of this year. The people of Uganda are lovely and I love every one of them. And the kids, cutest kids on the planet.
Thank you lots to everyone who has contributed in some way towards my trip. Together we are going to change lives in Uganda!
I will be trying to provide daily or more often updates on this site, internet connection pending.
I would love to hear from you in the comment form below each post!
