NOTE: This is several years old now. I need to update it

Welcome!

I am honored that you chose to visit my little slice of the internet out of all the others. It is my hope that you find something useful to you here. Either for entertainment, life, or computing.

A little about me

I was born in the simple town of Centralia echo date('Y')-1986; years ago and have lived right next door in Chehalis my entire life. It has been a pretty good place to live so far. When I was seven years old I moved out to the country and I have fallen in love with the space and freedom afforded me there, not to mention a plentiful supply of trees and other plant and animal life. I dream of someday living up higher in the mountains where there is a gorgeous view of the surrounding ridges and little to no sign of human activity.

When I was in elementary school teachers were always asking me to fix their computers for them. At that point in my life I did not have a computer of my own. In 1995 my parents purchased their first computer. It was a Pentium 133 Mhz beast with a 1 gigabyte hard drive and 32 megabytes of ram. I was hooked. Around 1998 I received my first computer. It was a good olde 486. In several months the word got out to family and friends that I had a growing passion for computers and in a short amount of time I had computers ranging from a 286 with dual 5 3/4 inch floppies to a 350 Mhz AMDK6-2. During this time my parents still had their 133 Mhz machine. 1998 was when I first became discontented with Microsoft Windows. An older family friend mentioned RedHat Linux and I soon aquired it and had a dual boot system running. In 1999 I fully switched over to Linux and I have not run windows on any machine by choice since. I am currently studying Computer Science in college with the short term goal of a Masters degree. Possibly a Doctorate, I will cross that road when I get to it. I eventually want to start my own web development business. I started with HTML in 1997 and have evolved with the web ever since.

I am currently a member of the Centralia Church of the Nazarene and I love it there. God is the complete and total epicenter of my life and influences all of my actions. In early 2000 I joined the worship team as the drummer. Since I have learned several instruments. I am no long in youth group obviously, but I still play on the Sunday morning worship team. I can fill in on just about any instrument as long as it is not the main piano part. For echo 2008 - 2005; years I have been involved in the youth group as a volunteer youth staff member. During the course of which I have played many roles, but none is closer to my heart than SiNi. SiNi is the Wednesday night youth service for junior highers. I fully believe that I have learned more from them by far than they have learned from me. Big thanks goes to my youth pastor Trent for building and nurturing both my passion for God and serving students. In March of 2008 I applied for my Ministers License and it has been granted to me. Fall of 2008 I will be attending Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) and I am excited to begin taking ministerial classes and challenge my thinking and beliefs about my faith.

Another huge passion in my life, and one that has been steadily growing over the years is music. Many people say they have a passion for music, but most really mean they have a passion for listening to music. I have a passion for making music. For two years (2006 - 2008) I took music theory at my local community college. My passion has only gained more rapidly as a result. The other members of my class as well as the teacher, Dr. Donna Huffman, taught me far more than just music. I learned many valuable and important life lessons and made some friends that will last a lifetime. Thanks you so much for taking the time to breakdown and remold me Donna, and a shout out to the Herd who kept me going even when I thought there was no was I would be able to grasp the more advanced concepts. I am currently building up my own little home recording studio. I use a Mac machine to record on, and I have connected into that a Korg Triton Extreme 88 key keyboard. The Triton totally rocks my world. I hope to soon get Logic Studio which sounds to be one of the best recording/mastering suites available.

In my free time I do what everyone else does. I hang out with friends. We tend to play wallyball a lot these days. If you have never played before I encourage you to hook up with the local gym and find a group to play with. It is a super fun game, kinda like volleyball on steroids.

As a final mention I gotta say I have one of the greatest families anyone could ask for. Sure we have our differences, and usually when we have a difference it is quite big, but my parents have always been 100% behind me in everything I do. I have had the great benefit of their wisdom and guidance all my life and I consider that a blessing. My sister is an amazing woman of God with one of the most tender, thoughtful, and servant hearts I have met. Thanks to you all for building me up and encouraging me along the path. I love you all!

Now that all you readers are thoroughly bored, or totally biased against me I hope you have fun on my site and get something great out of it!
